Roosters, Chickens OH MY!

I suppose this would fall under "only in Virginia"! hahaha

About 2 months ago a rooster showed up in our backyard and every morning since he wakes us up at 4:30am and doesn't stop crowing until 7:30 (which is when we are all now up of course!)

Well 2 days ago we seem to have adopted 3 additional chickens to keep our rooster company!

They are really pretty and hopefully i can get better pictures of the all but it is just so funny!

I can't help but wonder if we are being punked! hahahaha

Seriously though, wonder who lost their rooster and chickens!

Can't believe it is already 12 years! Wow what God has done in these past 12 years! How can we not celebrate and give thanks!

These Lazy Cats!

The other morning Destinee was complaining about her wild cat and there running through her room and playing all night..so i thought i would take a couple pictures that would capture what they do all day while she is at school...this might explain the wild party life they lead at night while she is trying to sleep!!! lol

Samoa Inspired Cupcakes!

Ok...so Tiff and I have this favorite girl scout cookie (Samoas) and i really wanted to make a cupcake that would mirror the flavor of the cookie...

So i made a brown sugar cupcake and crumbles the actual cookie into the mixture baked them and then topped them with a caramel coconut ganache and toasted coconut flakes and drizzled with chocolate ganache! They were so good and totally reminded me of that girl scout cookie!!!
