National Purple Day - Epilepsy Awareness - March 26,2011

Wearing purple to raise awareness for Epilepsy.
Father we pray that you would be a Source of strength and comfort and peace for those who suffer from Epilepsy! We thank you Jesus, for You alone know each of their bodies and you sustain their minds and bodies through each seizure they may endure. Father I ask that in the midst of seizures that You would be peace. Father would you restore each one of their minds after each seizure. Father I see first hand the pain and the chaos seizures bring to Gabriel each one he has, and yet he loves you so much and he always has a song of praise in his heart and flowing from his mouth. Would you continue to be his ALL in ALL, the lifter of his head, the healer over his body! Amen!

Rocking it out and Being a VOICE for Gabriel...

Father God, we thank you for the gift of being Gabriel's parents and siblings. Help us to have understanding to his disabilities, each and everyone of them. Grant us patience on difficult days. Father give us the strength to be a safe place for Gabriel to run to. May he always feel our love and support. Father would you give us peace in the midst of each seizure he goes through. We feel so helpless, and the kids feel afraid through each one we sit by his side. Father may we put our trust and hope in you! Thank you God for all that you continue to do in Gabriel's life and through our family!

THE THINGS WE DO FOR THE KIDS!

I really honestly don't know who gets more fun out of the events God allows us to bless the kids with...Jenice and I or the kids????
This was the very first of many "More then a Movie Nite" at church. It is such an awesome idea! We take secular kids animated movies and we invite the kids to bring their family and invite friends to come and see it. Then we turn it around and use it as a way to point back a Bible truth or a Godly characteristic we are encouraging the kids to understand and have!
We started with 101 Dalmatians! Jenice made us these adorable Dalmatian ears and we taped a millions (seemed like it anyways) black spots all over the hallway, the floors, the chairs to set the stage! We made the cutest snacks ( I can't believe I didn't get a picture of them) they were graham cracker sticks that looked like dog biscuits!
We tied back the courage of the dogs to the courage that Joshua and the Israelites had when it came time to battle Jericho and how the kids through God can have unshakable courage!
So much fun!!!!

This is my Gabe

Very seldom do people really get a good look at what Gabriel is really like. They see his nervousness, shyness, his aggressiveness..but very seldom do they ever get to see his sweet and silly side. Today was one of those moments and I was so excited to get it captured! He was laughing so hard it was so funny :) Just love those few moments that I get to spend with him and really enjoy every moment of it!
